Leadership

You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.

Acts 1:8

Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers.  Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.

Acts 20:28

Lord God, give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead.

2 Chronicles  1:10

Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.

Daniel 12:3

In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed.  In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.

Exodus 15:13

This is what the Lord says:  "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls."

Jeremiah 6:16

Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he . . . . poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. . . . When Jesus had finished washing their feet; he put on his clothes and returned to his place.  "Do you understand what I have done for you?" he asked them.  "You call me 'Teacher" and "Lord," and rightly so, for that is what I am.  Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet.  I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. . . .  now that you know these things, thou will be blessed if you do them."

John 13:3 - 5, 12 - 15, 17

If the Lord is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us.

Numbers 14:8

Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers -- not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.

1 Peter 5:2 - 4

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith.  If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently.

Romans 12:6 - 8

When one rules over men in righteousness, when he rules in the fear of God, he is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning, like the brightness after rain that brings the grass from the earth.

2 Samuel 23:3 - 4

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12
