We should think of the church as an orchestra in which the different churches play on different instruments while a Divine conductor calls the tune.
William R. Inge
The church exists to train its members through the practice of the presence of God to be servants of others, to the end that Christ likeness may become common property.
William Adams Brown
Worship is the highest act of which man is capable. It not only stretches him beyond all the limits of his finite self to affirm the divine depth of mystery and holiness in the living and eternal God, but it opens him at the deepest level of his being to an act which unites him most realistically with his fellow man.
Samuel H. Miller
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty
Psalm 91:1
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5 - 6
For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the Lord.
Exodus 35:2
Dear Lord, Thank you for the promise of Your word. In You, I can find the love and strength to face all difficulties. You have called each of us to special tasks. Please equip me with the energy and skills to perform mine each week. Help me to hear the call from You, so You may work through me. Motivate me and keep me strong so that You will achieve all that you desire. What a blessing it is to slow down and renew in Your word and to sing Your praises. Thank you for the opportunity of refreshment, so that I may work with all my heart the rest of the week. Thank you for this day of rest. Amen.
