I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all; but whatever I have placed in God’s hands, that I still possess.
Martin Luther
Be unselfish. That is the first and final commandment for those who would be useful and happy in their usefulness. If you think of yourself only, you cannot develop because you are choking the source of development, which is spiritual expansion through thought for others.
Charles W. Eliot
God’s gifts put man’s best dreams to shame.
Elizabeth Barrett Browning
Each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.
1 Corinthians 7:7
Dear Lord, Thank you for the promise of Your word. Thank you for the gifts you have given me. Thank you for the opportunities to learn what they are. Thank you for the gifts of others to me. Thank you for the gift of life and all that comes with it. Thank you for the opportunity to be a gift to another. Thank you for your love, this day and every day and the peace that is offered through the gift of Your Son. Amen.
