Scouting at Fairfax Presbyterian Church

Cub Scout Pack 889
Nine years ago F.P.C. extended its Scouting program to younger boys with the establishment of Cub Scout Pack 889. Cub Scouts are divided into Dens which meet weekly but gather for a Pack meeting on the fourth Monday each month at 7.30 p.m. Boys in first grade are Tiger Cubs, second grade boys pursue the Wolf rank whilst third grade boys work towards Bear. The fourth and fifth grade boys become Webelos Scouts with a more advanced program leading towards their graduation into Boy Scouts.

God & Country Program
The God & Country Program is designed for members of all ages of Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Camp Fire and 4-H. Participants gain a fuller understanding of how God interacts with them and their family, church and community. Four levels fit the instruction to all age groups from Tiger Cubs and Brownies to Senior Scouts and Explorers. Completion of any of the levels is recognized by an appropriate award.

Adult Leadership Opportunities
Conducting a good Scouting program takes a lot of people. Whether your interest is working with the boys as a Pack or Troop leader, individually as a Merit Badge or God & Country Counselor or even in the background as a member of a unit committee, WE CAN USE YOUR HELP. Previous Scouting experience is useful but not essential as training (if required) is available.
