Inclement Weather Policy (back to the top)
In the case of inclement weather, the Preschool will follow Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) as to school closing or delayed opening:Illness Policy (back to the top)The Preschool's answering machine will carry a message as to school closings by 8:30 a.m. Please call 703-273-4333 after 8:30 a.m. Days missed due to snow or other inclement weather will not be made up.
- If FCPS has a two-hour delayed opening, the Preschool will open at 11:15 a.m. and dismiss at 1:15 p.m. Note: if this happens on a Thursday, Lunch Bunch will not be offered.
- If FCPS is closed, the Preschool will be closed.
Help us limit the spread of illness. Keep your child home under the following conditions:Fundraising Events (back to the top)Please notify the Preschool at 703-273-4333 if your child or a person in your family has a contagious disease, such as but not limited to: head lice, pink eye, strep throat, or ringworm. The Preschool will notify families of potential exposure to a communicable disease.
- While running a fever and for 24 hours afterward;
- The first few days of a cold and whenever there is a deep cough;
- If there is vomiting and/or diarrhea and for 24 hours afterward;
- If he/she has impetigo, "pink eye", or strep throat until he/she has been seen by a physician and has been on the necessary antibotics for a period of 24 hours.
