MISSION
CONGRATULATIONS to the 11 members and friends of FPC who completed the Marine Corps marathon and helped the 25:40 organization to raise more than $33,000 to help pay for health care for children in rural areas who have limited access to medical facilities. The money will also be used to improve schools and provide shelter and food to children who have lost parents to AIDS or who are themselves HIV+. Thanks to all FPC members who so generously supported our runners.
25:40 is a link between your generosity and the most vulnerable and dispossessed among us -- children impacted by AIDS in southern Africa. South Africa is home to 11 national languages, but compassion is a universal language, which we in the US share. Through your support of orphanages, homes, and other organizations dedicated to caring for children impacted by HIV / AIDS in South Africa, 25:40 and its contributors share this compassion in its purest form.
This ministry was started just a few years ago by a young couple living in Northern Virginia, Amy and Alec Zacaroli. Their dedication to this ministry that takes so much of their time and reflects their love for these children captured FPC's Mission Committee members' hearts and we have been regular supporters since then.
