Bread Outreach Team

You may be surprised to be visited by the Bread Outreach Team later in the week after attending your first worship service.

The BOTs will visit your home with a loaf of yummy, fresh baked bread. Please remember to sign the guest book so we know where to bring your bread along with a bag of helpful information about our church.

Bread Team Seeks Help Welcoming Visitors

Welcoming new visitors to FPC is a priority of our congregation. One way this is accomplished is through our Bread Team Ministry. Our goal is to deliver home-baked bread to each first-time visitor within a week of their initial visit. This is made possible by two strong cadres of volunteers – bread bakers and bread deliverers.

Our dedicated bakers provide the delicious bread that serves as a symbol of FPC hospitality and generosity. We think of our deliverers as our church ambassadors, for it is they who have the opportunity to spread our goodwill and further the relationship between each visitor and FPC.

At the moment, we have approximately 60 Bread Team Ambassadors. On average, Ambassadors are asked to deliver bread three to five times during the year, and they are always assigned deliveries near their own homes. Ambassadors don’t do the baking; they simply pick up the bread at the church at their convenience and take it, along with a gift bag containing information about our church, to the designated visitor.
