Storytime: Room 252.
Children ages 3 1/2 to 5 years old are dismissed from worship after the Conversation with Children for an hour of play, stories and unstructured fun.
Godly Play - Room 243.
During the 8:45 am Worship Service (except the 4th Sunday of the month), children ages Kindergarten through 3rd grade are dismissed after the Conversation with Children for Godly Play in the Children's Worship Center.
Godly Play II - Room 234.
During the 8:45 am Worship Service children in 4th and 5th grade are dismissed on the first, third, and fifth Sundays of the month after the Conversation with Chidren to Godly Play II.
In Godly Play 1 and II, storytelling, art, music, and other activities enable children to encounter God using all the senses. They learn to use religious language through experiencing the parables, sacred stories from the Old and New Testaments, silence, and liturgical action. The children affirm the mystery of God's presence in their lives and are encouraged -- through "wondering" -- to relate parables and Biblical stories to their personal experience. The godly Play worship incorporates the elements of greeting, hymn singing, experiencing the Word through storytelling and response, reading Scripture, prayers, and benedication. Through Godly Play worship, children's faith and spiritual development are nurtured and their own innate relationship with God is affirmed and encouraged.
